A. Özlem GÜNDEŞLİOĞLU
I was born in Balıkesir in 1970. I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1993. After completing my residency in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Ankara Dışkapı Training and Research Hospital in 2002, I conducted research on microsurgery and post-cancer surgery reconstructions at the MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, USA) from 2004 to 2006.
I was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014 at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Medicine, where I continue my academic and professional career. I am currently practicing at İzmir Özel Kent Hospital.
In 2014, I passed the examination administered by the Turkish Board of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery and earned my board certification. In 2016, I successfully passed the certification exam administered by the European Board of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery and received the title of “Fellow of the European Board of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery.”
I have been an international member of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery since 2004 and of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons since 2006. I am also a member of the Turkish Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery.
I have served as a speaker and instructor at numerous national and international conferences, symposia, and courses. My academic work has been published in many national and international journals.
I am married and have one child.
